When you trade share CFDs (contracts for difference) on our platform, we charge a commission to your account when you make a trade.
To understand how we calculate commission on share CFDs, check out our examples below. You can also see the commission rates for each country in the table.
For Spanish share CFDs, the commission rate is 0.10%, with a minimum charge of €9.00.
Example 1:
If you trade 2500 units of Banco Santander at €5.20 each, your commission would be €13.00:
2500 units x €5.20 price = €13,000 x 0.10% = €13.00
Example 2:
But if you trade 1000 units of Banco Santander at €5.20 each, your commission would be €9.00, the minimum charge:
1000 units x €5.20 price = €5200 x 0.10% = €5.20
Since the actual commission is less than €9.00, we apply the minimum charge of €9.00.
For US share CFDs, the commission is 2 US cents per share, with a minimum charge of $10.
Example:
If you trade 600 units of Caterpillar at $80.95 each, your commission would be $12.00:
600 units x $0.02 commission per unit = $12.00
But if you trade 300 units of Caterpillar at $80.95 each, your commission would be $10.00, the minimum charge:
300 units x $0.02 commission per unit = $6.00
Since the actual commission is less than $10.00, we apply the minimum charge of $10.00.
For non-US shares, we calculate commission as a percentage of the order value. For US shares, it’s 2 cents per share.
All commission charges will be converted to your account currency using our prevailing currency conversion rate.
