Story Highlights
Bartosz Bielec, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the financial markets, has launched a new retail FX/CFD trading business called Prime Quotes. This move adds him to the growing list of industry veterans venturing out to create their ventures.
The new brokerage has already secured licenses in three key jurisdictions: Saint Lucia, South Africa (FSCA), and Mauritius. The Saint Lucia license provides access to the offshore market, while the South African license allows Prime Quotes to tap into the vast African market, with its underserved FX/CFD offerings.
“Africa is a demanding yet exciting market,” said Bielec. “Our team’s experience there, particularly in both English and French-speaking countries, positions us well for success.” The Mauritius license, on the other hand, paves the way for expansion into Asian markets, where Bielec has a proven track record of developing branches for previous employers, Admirals, and Alpari.
Prime Quotes’ ambitions don’t stop there. The company is actively seeking additional licenses in Europe and Asia, with a potential Australian license also under consideration. However, before further expansion, the focus lies on completing their cryptocurrency exchange project, envisioned as an integral part of their overall offering.
Bielec’s journey in the FX/CFD market began nearly two decades ago at Admirals, where he served as Director for the CEE and CIS region and later became a Board Member. During his decade at Admirals, he spearheaded the development of local offices in Central and Eastern Europe, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Turkey.
After Admirals, Bielec transitioned to Alpari, holding positions like CMO, Board Member, and Head of International Partnership. Since 2020, he has been associated with EXCO Trader, a smaller FX/CFD broker.
This extensive experience culminated in the creation of Prime Quotes. “We understand that every aspect of the financial market is crucial,” says Bielec. “Therefore, we aim to provide the best experience for both partners, through the flexibility of our offering, and investors, by providing them with the best trading conditions and access to both CFD and cryptocurrency products.”
Joining Bielec is another Polish national, Tomasz Wiśniewski, who previously held leadership roles at Admirals and TMS (now part of OANDA Group). Their paths crossed again at Alpari, where Wiśniewski served as Chief Analyst.
Interestingly, the Prime Quotes website mentions a 2015 launch date. Bielec clarifies that this was a separate fintech startup with a different focus. The current Prime Quotes is a completely new brand, combining an FX/CFD brokerage with a cryptocurrency exchange, aiming to disrupt the financial services landscape.
