Story Highlights
MetaQuotes recently released the beta build 4330 of its popular MetaTrader 5 platform, bringing exciting new features for both traders and developers.
The web platform takes center stage with a revamped charting experience. Traders can now leverage a ruler to measure price movements and time intervals with greater precision. Additionally, the ability to draw shapes (rectangles, ellipses, triangles, and circles) and add labels directly on charts empowers them to visualize trading strategies and market trends more effectively.
The update addresses various reported issues in the MetaTrader 5 Client Terminal. This includes improved accuracy when displaying calculated prices, rectified errors in Maximum Favorable Excursion (MFE) and Maximum Adverse Excursion (MAE) calculations within trading reports, and a smoother experience when saving and restoring economic calendar filters. Furthermore, the update resolves glitches related to the options board, position editing dialog, and applying chart templates.
For developers, MetaEditor, the integrated development environment, receives a significant upgrade. A new welcome page serves as a central hub for both beginners and seasoned developers. It offers a comprehensive collection of educational resources, including MQL5 language documentation, books, articles, developer forums, and a code base library. Additionally, the welcome page introduces opportunities to monetize development skills through the applications market, freelance services, and trading signal offerings.
MetaEditor empowers developers with a new “My Sales” report. This valuable tool provides real-time sales and download statistics, along with insights into sales geography and top-selling products based on volume and revenue.
MetaEditor’s built-in search functionality gets a revamp. The top search bar now focuses solely on searching text within the current document or local files. A dedicated section in the Toolbox caters to global searches through educational materials and codebases.
The latest update integrates GPT-4o, the newest iteration of the ChatGPT model, into MetaEditor’s Copilot feature. This AI-powered tool assists developers by completing code snippets and offering helpful hints, accelerating the development process.
With the beta launch of build 4330, MetaQuotes demonstrates its commitment to providing traders with advanced analytical tools and developers with a robust and streamlined development environment. The final release, following the beta testing phase, promises an even more powerful trading and development experience for MetaTrader 5 users.
