Bitcoin Climbs Above $66,000 as ETF Inflows Continue

• Last updated: Tuesday, July 28, 2026

Rising financial chart showing Bitcoin climbing past $66,000 amid surging spot ETF inflows.

Tuesday saw Bitcoin surpass $66,000 and the attention has its ripple effects throughout the crypto world. The price climbed to $66,024, a gain of 1.24% for the day. This rally coincides with increased capital flowing into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs and optimism regarding potential clarity in crypto regulations in Washington.

ETF Inflows Keep Climbing

Spot Bitcoin ETFs in the U.S. attracted $226.9 million of inflows on Monday alone. That’s the fifth consecutive day of inflows, totaling approximately $727.3 million for these funds over the past week. It marks the most recent winning streak along with inflows to ETFs since a six day run back in April and May. It’s also the highest single day finish since July 6.

These inflows have yet to offset the deficits brought on by earlier this year. Right up to date, Bitcoin ETFs are out of favorite for approximately $5 billion in 2026. However, recent figures suggest investors are finally getting back on their feet.

Simon-Peter Massabni, a business development lead at XS.com, believes the numbers mostly show that heavy selling is finally slowing down. He says Bitcoin needs to stay above the $65,000 to $65,500 range to prove this rally has real staying power.

Crypto Rules May Be Getting Clearer

This optimism is due in part to progress on the CLARITY Act. This legislation would create a split between the SEC and CFTC, and clarify the rules digital asset management will follow. Donald Trump has reportedly accepted an ethics rule blocking talks that will restrict the use of digital assets by officials during their tenure in office.

There is a race against time for lawmakers. The bill could get shelved for months if it is not moved before the August recess.

What Comes Next

It will now be the true measure of whether Bitcoin can maintain this level. Steady ETF demand and steady progress in Congress are the two big factors that could keep this recovery alive. A retraction in either of them may slow down the momentum fast.
